Reimagine Boulder Highway Hits Major Milestone
As we mark the one-year anniversary of the Reimagine Boulder Highway project, we’ve laid the groundwork—literally—for a safer, more walkable and future-ready Boulder Highway. These improvements may be hard to see now, but they are the vital first steps in a transformation that will benefit residents, businesses and commuters for decades to come.

Construction Updates
Segment 1: Wagon Wheel Drive to Greenway Road
Work Hours: 6am-4pm
Two lanes open in each direction. Expect intermittent lane closures as needed.
BRT station construction in the median for future bus stops at College Drive, and the VA Clinic. NV Energy services, irrigation, traffic signal modifications. Median island, curb, sidewalk and ADA ramp installation at Magic Way.
Segment 2: Greenway Road to Water Street
Work Hours: 6am-4pm
Two lanes open in each direction
Concrete for ADA ramps and sidewalks and third-party utility installation. BRT station construction in the median at Pioneer Rd, Horizon Dr, Greenway Rd, Lake Mead Pkwy, and Major Ave. Concrete barrier wall placement for future bus shelters at Palo Verde Dr and College Dr.
Segment 3: Water Street to Tulip Falls Drive
Work Hours: 6am-4pm
Two lanes open in each direction
Conduit installation for streetlights, traffic signals, and ITS, removals and concrete for driveways, valley gutters and curbs. BRT station construction in the median for future bus stop at Rolly St. Median island, curb, sidewalk and ADA ramp installation at Galleria Dr, Sky Forest Dr, and Gibson Rd.
Boulder Highway. Reimagined.
The City of Henderson’s Reimagine Boulder Highway is a historic roadway project that aims to make a generational impact by reshaping the future and safety of one of Nevada’s oldest thoroughfares, Boulder Highway. This 7.5-mile construction project, designed with community input, will bring several vital roadway improvements, such as center-running transit lanes with enhanced passenger shelters, upgraded storm drain system, new traffic signals, improved lighting, elevated buffered bike lanes, landscape treatments, and more.
Reimagine Boulder Highway will not only transform one of our City’s most historic roads, it will improve the surrounding area and create positive change for residents and businesses along the corridor for years to come.
